South Park creators debut their own VR device – the Nosulus Rift
One of the hot topics in gaming right now is virtual reality. If virtual reality is the most realistic way to experience a game, wouldn’t this be the most realistic way to smell a game? According to the website, attendees of the event, in Cologne, Germany, can experience the Nosulus Rift from August 17-21 at Ubisoft‘s stand. Created to work in conjunction with South Park: The Fractured But Whole, it wraps around the player’s nose, and unleashes a fart smell whenever the in-game character uses his magical farting attacks.
To make the game even more immersive and visceral, the Nosulus Rift will pump noxious fart aromas into your nose every time your character farts in The Fractured But Whole. That’s what we thought too, but apparently Ubisoft claims that come Gamescom and PAX West, gamers will actually be able to check out the experience for themselves.
Game developer Ubisoft revealed the device, an Oculus Rift inspired peripheral appropriately named Nosulus Rift (although “Oculus Sniff” would also have been accepted).
South Park: The Fractured But Whole will take place the day after The Stick of Truth.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole is set to be released on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC on December 6.
