Southern Miss heading to Heart of Dallas Bowl
The college football season has come to a close, which means that it’s now time to get ready for all of the bowl games that will soon grace our television screens.
The Huskies (6-6) will play Southern Miss (9-4) in the December 26 Heart of Dallas Bowl at Cotton Bowl stadium in Dallas. The Huskies’ biggest win of the season was a a 17-12 victory at USC on October 9.
Southern Miss will face Washington.
The Washington players and coaches will depart for Dallas on Dec. 21 and spend the week there before game day on Saturday, Dec. 26.
RB Myles Gaskin, with 1,121 yards rushing and 10 TDs.
Southern Miss: The Golden Eagles won just one game in 2013 and three last season.
Washington’s defense, however, flashed early in the season and gave fans hope that UW might be able to find more than the prerequisite six wins required to reach bowl eligibility.
Southern Miss: 11-12 in bowl games.
It is also their sixth straight bowl appearance after having endured a stretch of eight straight years (2002-2010) of no post-season appearances. Petersen has made winning a bowl game a priority this year.
