Southwest Airlines cuts flights from Wichita
Southwest flight times from Akron-Canton to Atlanta will depart at 6:05 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 6:15 a.m.in April.
If you search for flights on Southwest’s website prior to mid-April, you can still purchase tickets for nonstop flights.
Southwest Airlines is edging close to 100 daily departures from Lambert-St. The airline announced several new flights and destinations from St. Louis on Tuesday.
Daily non-stop service to Pittsburgh will begin in March 2016, replacing flights now being offered by American Airlines. It initially was scheduled to include two daily flights to Chicago, two flights to Dallas and one flight to Las Vegas with plans to add more destinations.
From St. Louis, Southwest serves 35 nonstop markets and will give Wichita travelers convenient connections to top markets such as Atlanta, Chicago, Minneapolis, Newark, Baltimore, Washington National, Orlando, Nashville, San Antonio, among others.
Southwest, the dominant carrier at Lambert, said in June that nonstop service to Little Rock, Ark., will resume January 6 after a two-year absence.
