Southwest suffers technology outage; flights held at gates
A technical glitch with the airline’s check-in system caused a nationwide ground-stop Wednesday afternoon.
Some Southwest Airlines flights are being held up while the airline tries to fix a technology outage.
“We’re sorry we let you down”, Southwest told another customer. System wide outage. They have to do a manual override to get your ticket.
At DCA @SouthwestAir just announced “our system is back up and running”. By 3 p.m., the ground stop was no longer in effect, but the airline says travelers should expect long delays.
