Spain back in top 10 — Federation Internationale de Football Association Ranking
Gerardo Martino’s side returned to action last month, comprehensively defeating Bolivia 7-0 before drawing 2-2 with Mexico. The dip follows poor performances in the 2018 Federation Internationale de Football Association World Cup qualifiers where India have lost all three group matches played so far.
The top ten in Africa in Africa in order are: Algeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana Tunisia, Senegal, Cape Verde Islands, Congo, Cameroon, Egypt and Nigeria.
The Blue Sharks rose from 56th to 41st, leading a number of African sides to have made impressive progress.
Globally, there were a few notable changes.
One of the big movers near the top was Spain, who moved up five spots into 6th and kicking Romania out of the top 10.
Argentina still held on to their lead but the gap has been narrowed to just 18 points when Germany overtook Belgium to land second place with 1401 points.
Belgium, Portugal, Colombia, Spain, Brazil, Wales, Chile and England have got the third to 10th slot respectively.
Wales won in Cyprus before a home draw with Israel brought them closer to qualification for their first major tournament since 1958.
