Special Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet Models
The topless version of the two-door S-Class has been attracting plenty of attention.
Two new special editions of the E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet have been introduced for the fall, bringing the last iteration of the model’s fourth generation to an impressive close. Previously it produced the CL-Class which was only available in Coupe form so this is the first modern luxury GT segment Cabriolet for the Stuttgart-based manufacturer.
The special editions are Sport Edition and V8 Edition.
While the “Sport Edition” can be ordered with any of the engines now available for the E-Class, the “V8 Edition”, as the name suggests, can be only be had with the 408hp V8 found on the E500.
A special front apron with distinctive air inlets and a high-gloss black louvre with chrome trim in the grille make it unmistakeable from the front, set off by an AMG boot-lid spoiler in body colour, a diffuser-style rear apron and dual exhausts with trapezoidal tailpipe tips. A special brilliant blue metallic paint finish is reserved exclusively for these models. Buyers can also choose among the different themes namely the high-gloss black ash, black piano lacquer or dark textured-grain aluminium to provide more personality to the cabin.
On the interior the V8 models feature multi-contour seats, 4-way lumbar support and memory package. All these changes are announced via “Sport Edition” badges on the two front wings.
It comes with 18 inch AMG alloy rims over perforated front brake discs and callipers with Mercedes-Benz lettering, running on Agility Control sports suspension with shorter, stiffer springs and tauter damping than standard.
The company said that it would also upgrade all its E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet models with comprehensive smartphone integration and Live Traffic Information.
