Spectre makes history with largest ever film explosion
The explosion was filmed for a pivotal scene in the film.
All the Bonds are there – Daniel Craig, Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan – creating the famous pose where Bond stops dead on one foot and shoots the camera.
Bond’s searching eventually leads back to the mysterious man, known as Blofeld, who reveals a startling reason why he is so familiar with 007 and his past.
A shocking letter recently surfaced that reveals what appears to be a few blatantly homophobic attitudes by the author of the James Bond series, Ian Fleming.
When Skyfall came out in 2012, it gave the James Bond franchise a 21st century upgrade, focusing on modern issues and distancing itself from the goofiness that defined the brand in the more recent films. “For the follow-up to Sam Mendes” widely enjoyed Skyfall, the current captain of the good ship 007 had to top himself somehow. Waltz does an excellent job at portraying the classic Bond villain as the sadistic megalomaniac that he is.
This movie is exactly what you would expect it to be as an action spy thriller. At the heart of the film is the idea of surveillance and the capabilities of modern technology to watch entire nations. Naomi Harris, Ben Whinshaw and Ralph Fiennes all contribute in meaningful ways to the plot and Bond’s development.
Bond’s supporting cast also does well.

“Spectre” is an action-packed film that Bond fans will love. Even though we are seven weeks away from the coveted 12 days of box office, Spectre opened within expectations. The action scenes, although overly plentiful and sometimes drawn-out, were very exciting and were accompanied by a very well done musical score that incorporated elements from old school James Bond and modern day action films.
The film, as many spy movies do, also takes viewers to a variety of locations.
