Speedy Hill, Chiefs top rival Raiders
That’s a Super Bowl caliber team. That is truly what makes this loss so dang frustrating, there were so many things that could have changed the outcome of this game. The PAT kick gave the Chiefs a 7-3 lead. Also don’t forget the Number 2 seed in the Playoffs might be up for grabs as well.
The Chiefs won each of the head-to-head battles with Oakland this season and control their own destiny for the division crown and a first-round bye in the playoffs.
In the second half, the Chiefs were in a generous mood, as Smith threw an interception and then was stripped of the ball on a sack by Oakland’s Khalil Mack.
In Week 6 this season, the Kansas City Chiefs put a 26-10 whuppin’ on Oakland Raiders in their backyard.
Alex Smith got 261 yards and a touchdown for the Chiefs, who returned home after winning two overseas games. On Thursday night, there might not be umbrella-swinging fans or fistfights between the players. Tyreek Hill didn’t know what to do when he started hearing thousands of people in Arrowhead Stadium chanting his name, even as he stood all alone on the frozen turf waiting for the punt.
Who’s still alive – Cardinals (5-6-1), Saints (5-7), Eagles (5-7), Panthers (4-8), Rams (4-8), Bears (3-9): All these teams are pretty much dead, but the math says the wild cards are still within reach.

The Real hero of the game was Tyreek Hill he had 2 touchdowns. Finally, the special teams unit gave up a 78-yard touchdown return (punt) to the always unsafe Tyreek Hill in the second quarter. Oakland proceeded to march 92 yards for its lone touchdown just before halftime. That matches the franchise record set by Tony Gonzalez, and allows him to join a group of tight ends that also includes Jimmy Graham who have accomplished that feat. On back-to-back plays, just needed a few yards on third and fourth down, the Raiders went downfield with passes that were just off enough to be incomplete. Derek Carr threw for just 117 yards and zero touchdowns.
Trailing by the eventual final score of 21-13 with 2:06 remaining Thursday night, the Raiders faced a third-and-1 at Kansas City’s 14-yard line.
One would think that people who’ve spent a lot of hard-earned money on an expensive National Football League ticket would rather get along with those around the and enjoy the game, and yet it feels like we see brawls like this in the stands every week now. The Chiefs are tied with the Raiders but will have the head to head and divisional tiebreaker against them if they end up in a tie.
Perhaps the Chiefs’ most important area of success came in the red zone.
Can we just all agree right off the bat that Thursday Night Football is a bad idea and should be scrapped? The Chiefs will have another home game as they host the Tennessee Titans.
