Spider-Man Comes to Disneyland in November
Following that, Holland will star as Spider-Man in his own solo film set for release on July 28, 2017. During the same D23 Expo that brought us the glorious news of new Star Wars Lands in Orlando and L.A.as well as a Star Wars Launch Bay on the bottom floor of the Tomorrowland Expo Center (set to open November 16), the House of Mouse also hinted at new Marvel attractions.
Disney has announced that when the reimagined Super Hero headquarters opens this fall at Disneyland park, Spider-Man will make his debut as part of a heroic new character greeting location, where you can snap a photo or grab an autograph. He may not be in the image, but it has been learned that Spider-Man will be on his team as well.
Interestingly, the Spider-Man suit in “Captain America: Civil War” helmed by brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, will feature the iconic spider symbol on the back. The publication also said that though Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield had both wore suits that showed a spider figure on the back, the emblem in Holland’s suit would be closer to the oval shaped body with stumpy legs.
This isn’t necessarily a result of the producing deal Marvel Studios signed with Sony, which will see Spider-Man rebooted and introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe proper.
The movie is based on a script that was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeeley.
That and the ensemble of Marvel superheroes in the movie have prompted critics to brand the third Captain America movie as an Avengers film. It’ll feature Spider-Man and Thor in meet-and-greets, “Iron Man” exhibits that include a row of suits from “Iron Man 3” and video games.
“Captain America: Civil War” is now in the post-production phase of the development and is slated to be released on April.
