Spider-Man will battle a key Avenger in ‘Captain America: Civil War’
Apparently,
While a handful of lucky fans got to see the first footage from “Captain America: Civil War” at the 2015 D23 Expo, the rest of us will have to wait.
The storyline in the “Civil War” comics reveals that Spider-Man originally sided with Iron Man following the release of the superhero registration act; however, the web-slinger soon shifted side to Captain America after he discovered the true intensions of the pro-registration side.
There’s a new Captain America movie in the works that’s going to hit theaters in early May next year, but you can view a leaked teaser trailer right now.
It would’ve been set in 1942 and the promo features images of Steve Rogers’ transformation into Captain America, his best bud Bucky (sans bionic arm), various members of the Howling Commandos, a Hydra army and their leader and Cap’s nemesis the Red Skull. He might actually participate in the big fight.
“Nah, it’s not MMA”. We were speculating about it well before Marvel made it official and cast The Impossible star Tom Holland in the iconic role, and though we know it’s definitely happening now, we still don’t know exactly how.
While fans of Spider-Man were generally heartened to hear that the character would be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there were also those that voiced concern about the prospect of standalone appearances that would simply constitute more of the same in terms of Spider-Man movies.
Then presumably showing the first of many fights, Cap tells Tony Stark, “That’s what this is about to you?” The reason why people can relate to these characters so much, is because they can relate to what they’re going through.
However, this hasn’t prevented any rumors being spread, particularly two which have come out this week, both of which, if accurate, might give us insights as what to expect regarding Spider-Man in Anthony and Joe Russo’s upcoming Captain America sequel. If it’s someone you can cut out of your life, no problem.
Yahoo Movies recently spoke to the two actors and asked them whether they’d want to make a Cap/Falcon buddy comedy.
