Spotify on PlayStation 4 is now better than ever before
Users can also now control Spotify without having the need to open the app. Music listening experience is better as gamers can come across recommended playlists for the game that one is playing.
Now you can hold the home button whilst playing music from Spotify to bring up a quick menu, overlaid on your screen, where you can skip through your queue or explore playlists featured by PlayStation and Spotify. Today, the update is available for PS4 owners to download. You’ll be able to navigate your collection and change tracks without leaving your game.
Digital Foundry has released a brand new video focusing on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and what it could ultimately look like in case it gets upgraded to 1080p and 60 frames per second on PlayStation 4 Pro. You can also see options such as Online friends, Broadcast, Power settings and more. Moreover, the What’s New and Content Info Screens have been refined to display more useful options faster. It’s now possible to group apps and games into folders, enabling you to tidy up your Library and make it easier to find your most-played content.
Sony promised that a future update will enable High Dynamic Range (HDR) on all PlayStation 4 consoles dating back to 2013.
Now even your smartphone can play an active role with Sony’s upcoming VR technology. Through the PS4 Pro, which will be released on November 10, gamers can play a game in full 4K resolution. It unveiled the anticipated PS4 Pro and a slimmer base PS4 console, the latter a rival to Microsoft’s Xbox One S. Microsoft’s console includes support for HDR videos, a feature exclusive to the S-model.
HDR is being pushed as a major feature of the PS4 Pro, so it’s definitely surprising to see Sony hand out HDR support to everybody with this patch.
