Spotify Running Now Available for Android
Now the feature’s on Android as well. That feature was only available for iOS to start, but it’s now available for those who use Android (which we reckon is a good amount of you reading this post).
Spotify Running offers a number of genre playlist options covering everything from hip hop and electro to pop and classical, as well as some original running compositions. From today, Android users will be able to fire up the Spotify app, open the Running feature, and have the music streaming service find music that matches tempo with the pace of their jog…
Spotify Running was initially only released to iPhone users across the globe. Rather than Spotify just choosing music made at a certain tempo, these are songs that will speed up or slow down themselves to match your pace.
Obviously, the feature isn’t flawless, so you might notice that Sportify Running does not always syncs the music to your tempo, but it’s pretty close nevertheless.
Spotify Running is actually a fairly clever use of a smartphone’s motion sensors.
The update should be rolling out through Google Play today, so be sure to keep an eye out if this is something you’ve been waiting for.
