Sprint’s updated deal gives you a ‘free’ iPhone 8 with a trade
If you don’t have one of the eligible phones mentioned above, you might still be able to get a deal on the iPhone 8 from Sprint. After the 18-month lease ends, buyers can either return the phone or pay the regular lease for six months.
As mentioned above, wireless charging is one of the big benefits that the iPhone 8 Plus has over the iPhone 7 Plus, although it’s nothing special in this battle – the Note 8 has it too.
The iPhone 8 model starts at $699, while the iPhone X will start at $999, Apple announced last Tuesday.
Samsung’s Galaxy S9 could come sporting a camera sensor capable of shooting at 1,000fps, ideal for capturing super slow-motion pictures and video.
The free iPhone 8 deal comes after Sprint last week guaranteed it would offer the best monthly price on the 64GB iPhone 8 and 8 Plus for customers who switch from a different carrier.
You’ll get the promo if you’ve already pre-ordered (and qualify), and Sprint is quick to add that it’s available to any existing customer who owns a phone on the trade-in list.
Sprint is also looking to convince people to try out the new LTE-ready Apple Watch Series 3 by offering a 3-month trial period.
The consumer benefit of the half-off offers is offset by the rising value of used smartphones, notes Craig Moffett at MoffettNathanson Research. Supplies will be subject to availability. We have had one in hand for a while now, and put it through its paces not only during daily use, but with an array of benchmarks and battery tests as well.
The popularity of the phone, however, has raised concerns about overly competitive marketing schemes by mobile carriers, such as excessive subsidies, which led the nation’s telecom watchdog Korea Communications Commission to strengthen its monitoring.
