Spurs blast Nets post-King era

The inefficient Nets offense (29th in the National Basketball Association with an offensive efficiency of 98.0) will square off against the stingy Spurs defense (first in the league with a defensive efficiency of 93.9).

Tony Brown wasn’t even three minutes into his first media huddle since becoming the Nets’ interim head coach when a test of the Barclays Center fire alarm system interrupted him mid-sentence.

He also met with owner Mikhail Prokhorov, who laid out his expectations for the final 45 games of the season. “I want to help something good happen here”, he said. Brown spent the prior three seasons as an assistant coach with the Dallas Mavericks under Rick Carlisle.
