Although National Selection Committee had given final shape to the squad which will feature against Zimbabwe national team in T20 and ODI yet the selectors waited for the domestic T20 league to come to an end before handing over the list to Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahreyar Ahmad for approval. Firstly the team must have continuity in Pakistan’s rebuilding by retaining the majority of players who were part of the successful last tour of Sri Lanka. Sohaib Maqsood, the right-hand batsman, makes a return after recovering from an arm injury that ruled him out of the Bangladesh tour.
Vince, whose one England cap came in an abandoned ODI against Ireland in May, said: “I’ve had a bit of experience in the T20 squad and hopefully I’ll get an opportunity”.
“It is a challenge to lead the Pakistan team and the players have really done well as a unit which is why despite not playing at home since 2009 we have achieved some notable success”, he said. Riaz will represent Pakistan in all three formats, the Express Tribune reported.
