Square Enix Releases First Set Of Dragon Quest XI Screenshots

With images from both the Nintendo 3DS and Playstation 4 they are likely to impress those waiting for the game.

Scans have just been released from this week’s Shonen Jump for both the PS4 and 3DS versions of the upcoming Dragon Quest title, Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time.

Here’s what the field looks like on PlayStation 4, where you’ll see different scenery and monsters in the areas. The Nintendo 3DS version takes some interesting changes to make the game look fresh while still adhering to a more familiar theme.

Details on the new story are slim as to avoid spoilers, but according to Square Enix, it will reveal “a certain secret” related to the protagonist. Square Enix has stated that the game’s release in North America and Europe is still under consideration. Or will they decide to go for the graphically superior Playstation 4 one? There is no word on a release in Western territories so far, but at least Dragon Quest fans can look forward to play Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below in October.
