Squee! Rihanna Just Debuted Her Fenty Beauty Line…and It’s *So
Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty debut collection has in stock 40 shades of foundations, 20 shades of matte sticks, and 10 shades of shimmer sticks. “I am going to do what makes me feel happy, what I feel like doing”. Then, Ono applied the Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in the shade 330 alongwith the Match Stix Matte Skinstick concealer in the shade Almond to ideal the singer’s skin.
Fenty Beauty offers 40 shades of foundation, a palette that Rihanna said will be increased.
“You want people to appreciate the product and not go ‘oh, that’s cute, but it only looks good on her'”. While the formulations are different than the actual foundation itself, the hide and contour sticks make for easy, creamy touch-ups and come in nearly as many shades as the Pro Fil’tr comes in, only in a portable stick form.
Unveiled at midnight at Sephora, also owned by LVMH, the singer welcomed the Rihanna Navy by working the register herself, in an event timed to New York Fashion Week.
She’s so sure of her lip gloss, Gloss Bomb, there is only one shade. “In their different personalities, skin tones, lifestyles, and beliefs”.
About a week ago, the Fenty Beauty Instagram account released a teaser video for the imminent release of the line – featuring Aussie babe Duckie Thot.
It was a solemn moment on what was an otherwise festive occasion, as Rihanna launched the beauty brand that has had social media buzzing for weeks with its hints at celebrating diversity.
When asked about her dream beauty products, the star replied: ‘Lashes that could just put themselves on… lipstick that doesn’t move, but doesn’t dry your lips out, that you don’t need a liner for’.
The brand targets women of all skin tones, championing that “women everywhere would be included”. And the best part about this sneak peek? Yes, it totally sounds funky, but trust us on this one that you will most definitely *heart* the look. Her campaign is inclusive, the packaging is on point (I didn’t expect anything less), and she’s made it clear that she is in the beauty game and here to stay.
But Pantone’s colour of 2016 is all the rage. Here’s Rihanna talking about the importance of simple variety, via Refinery 29’s beauty director.
Use the soft matte filt’r foundation, because no matter your skin type, adding glow on glow = unwanted shine.
David Copperfield asked the “Diamond” star where she wants to go if she could time-travel.
