Sridevi’s Mom co-star and Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui mourns her sudden death

She actually got upset at the assistant as she had given some of Jhanvi’s jackets to be carried for me and they didn’t carry.

Condoling her death, music maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan said, ‘my condolences to Boney Kapoorji and the Kapoor family. I was bowled over.

The actress is remembered for her performance in some of the iconic Bollywood films like “Mr India”, “Nagina”, “Sadma”, “ChalBaaz”, “Chandni” and “Khuda Gawah”, among many others in different languages. I was so overwhelmed by her hospitality and warmth. She will never be forgotten, no matter what. Boney saab was crying like a baby; he was inconsolable. No one can equal her on screen. “So many memories attached while shooting “MOM” with her”. Just imagine: People from everywhere, Pakistan, America, the United Kingdom and other parts, have been sending me condolence messages. But I can’t. I pray for strength to her family. This is a huge, irreparable loss for the film industry. She had attended Masala Awards in Dubai two months ago; I couldn’t go because I was shooting. Four days after the wedding, Sridevi was found dead in the bathtub of her hotel’s room. She was there smiling and dancing, looking as handsome and healthy as ever.

Pakistani starlet, Sajal Aly, who made her Bollywood debut with Sridevi posted a heart-wrenching post regarding the latter’s demise.

Adnan informed Indian Express, “At present, I’m in Dubai and, last night, I met Bonny-saab (Boney Kapoor)”. Today, I’m saddened for her daughters, Janhvi and Khushi.

Incidentally, the Pakistani actress lost her mother during the shoot of Mom and Sridevi had stood by her and comforted her during the tough time. This is to notice that Adnan Siddiqui and Sridevi worked together in the last film Mom and Adnan Siddiqui had to leave India as he is Pakistani actor.

Sridevi’s body has been released by Dubai police, allowing her family to fly her body back to Mumbai for her funeral. A report in Deccan Chronicle had stated, “Normally, Sridevi doesn’t mix with her colleagues at all”.
