Stage crasher interrupts People’s Choice awards
The show was hosted by the multi-talented Jane Lynch, who sang, danced, and joked successfully throughout the evening.
There was more drama at the show when Dakota Johnson had a near disastrous wardrobe malfunction as she accepted the award for the steamy hit Fifty Shades of Grey. I guess we will never know.
She referenced the presenter who caused controversy by announcing the wrong victor of Miss Universe recently, saying: “You ain’t going to pull no Steve Harvey up in here”, and then called on security to remove the young man off stage.
Leave it to Sharon Osbourne to kick the People’s Choice Awards into high gear – literally. Sandra Bullock skipped the red-carpet, so did Chris Hemsworth.
Nicasio, who goes by the stage name ZacZeta, was quite proud of his so-called accomplishment and posted a video of the entire ordeal to his Instagram page with the caption “You now I had to do it”. While it isn’t unusual for one actor to claim the awards for an entire cast, when Vin Diesel appeared on stage to accept the award, he began giving an emotional tribute to honor his co-star and friend, Paul Walker.
The addition echoes that of the Teen Choice Awards, which added Web categories for the ceremony in 2014. The Weeknd was also nominated for “Favourite Song”, “Favourite Male Singer”, “Breakout Artist” and “Favourite Album” at the 42nd People’s Choice awards. He received an astounding standing ovation from the crowd.
Towards the end of her speech, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” host showed off her kindness as she told the gathered audience she wanted to make them happy. I had no idea how charitable Ellen is.
