Stage-crasher interrupts People’s Choice Awards

An audience member received a sharp kick off stage from the star when he crashed The Talk’s acceptance speech at the People’s Choice Awards.

“I think we think of ourselves as kind of the oddballs of TV”, Sara Gilbert said just before a man snagged the microphone from her.

The random punter tried to promote his music album, but was stopped short as Osbourne kicked him.

“You ain’t gonna pull no Steve Harvey up in here, no sir” she cried, referencing the presenter who caused controversy when he announced the wrong victor at the Miss Universe competition.

The American award ceremony honours stars from entertainment and popular culture and is voted for by the public.

An emotional Vin Diesel accepted the favorite film prize for “Furious 7”, noting how hard it was to resume filming after the death of co-star Paul Walker in a auto wreck.

Accepting the award, she shared: “I started out as a comedian, and I wanted to make people laugh”.

Ellen DeGeneres brought her total to a record-tying 17 People’s Choice wins when she picked up the trophy for favourite daytime TV host and a special award for favourite humanitarian.

Self-proclaiming herself as the Mother Theresa of Talk Shows and the Dalai Lama of Daytime, the always-hilarious Ellen DeGeneres characterized her awards for favorite talk show host and humanitarian as “so, so deserved, but insane”. “No. But I’m sure someone out there has”, she said.
