A few may argue we are using them to describe behaviours that are “a little out of the ordinary”, and these behaviours just also happen to be stereotypical of the mentally ill. Mental health is one of five strategic directions in TBRHSC’s Strategic Plan 2020. The reality is, no one chooses to suffer from a mental health issue. Smaller organisations can expect much more.

The image of staid psychiatrists trying their best to help their patients find a solution to their mental health concerns without the benefit of the latest technology is becoming as outdated as the slide rule.
A seminar in Bangalow on Tuesday, timed to coincide with Mental Health Week, also saw the launch of a new local business aimed at making the lives of people with mental illness a little bit easier.
