STAR Magazine: Shia LaBeouf representative plays down onset injury
In many cases, actors admitted to the severity of the injuries after the production wrapped and they were already promoting it.
It’s been reported that a scene on the film required LaBeouf to put his head through a glass window, and that’s where things went wrong.
According to the spokeswoman, LaBeouf suffered “minimal injuries”.
After being transported to a nearby hospital, the Transformers star is said to have received 20 stitches and 13 staples to his injuries. He also sliced the right side of his index finger.
After his odd year in 2014 (you cannot forget when he wore a paper bag on his head, and got arrested for disrupting a Broadway show!) it’s great to see Shia focusing on work again.
The 29-year-old actor had been shooting new movie American Honey when the accident occurred.
British filmmaker Andrea Arnold directs American Honey, her first U.S.-set film. These adventures with a group of other misfits include hard partying, run-ins with the law and even romance. He was bandaged and sent home. While the actor didn’t return to commence filming on Wednesday, his publicist said that he would be back on the set Thursday to continue working.
