Star Trek 4 Will Feature JJ Abrams’ Favorite Story

And Beyond delivers that, for the most part, although like the 2009 film, it suffers from an underwhelming villain who’s never half as interesting as the main characters. As a result of this, “Beyond” is the most action-oriented movie in the rebooted series. He returns to play Scotty and he co-wrote the screenplay.

“I equate it to us driving a vehicle and building a road at the same time”, Lin said.

This latest adventure follows the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise as they are out exploring the galaxy.

“Justin has proven himself again and again as an incredibly strong storyteller”, Abrams explains, “but what struck me more than anything was his genuine love of Star Trek”.

This third clip starts off with Lieutenant Commander Leonard “Bones” McCoy (Karl Urban) helping an injured Spock, which means the scene likely takes place right after the starship Enterprise is destroyed, with the crew stranded on a mysterious planet.

J.J. hasn’t really told me anything. Interestingly, Star Trek 4 will see James and George “cross paths” in some manner. “We all carry him with us in our heart, tonight”, Quinto said.

Yet while it seemingly isn’t a stretch for Kirk to meet his father before his fateful sacrifice in Star Trek, meeting the original Kirk is a stretch too far for Abrams, since that Kirk died in Star Trek Generations.
