‘Star Trek Beyond’ cast gives tribute to Leonard Nimoy

Quinto included himself and the other members of the Star Trek Beyond cast among those numbers of people who were inspired. However, a video from last week gave us our first look at a new alien character, played by Kingsman: The Secret Service star Sofia Boutella.

The tribute opened with Quinto, who stars as Spock in the current movies, reminiscing about the legendary icon’s impact on the film industry.

“Leonard was an actor, a champion of the arts, and a true inspiration to so many”, Quinto said. Abrams. “It was an honor and a privilege to know him and to call him a friend”.

The cast of Star Trek Beyond has paid tribute to their late co-star Leonard Nimoy in a touching video as part of a fundraising campaign. As part of the “Star Trek: To Boldly Go” campaign which is now running on Omaze, fans can win a walk on role in the next film, Star Trek Beyond.

Nimoy of course played Mr. Spock throughout the original Star Trek series as well as numerous sequels including the rebooted Star Trek universe first launched by director J.J. Abrams. This initiative highlights nine worthy charities, each hand-picked by cast members, while giving a few lucky fans a chance to win a trip to the set.
