Star Trek: The mission accomplishes 50 years
The tweet from the entertainment company hinted that Apple Siri might come with the voice of Star Trek’s computer, the Enterprise.

It seems impossible now, but back in 1966, the original Star Trek was not an easy sell – it had two pilots and a major cast change before going on the air – and it was canceled after three seasons, due to low ratings.
But the brief homage by Giuseppe Fiorentino, second-in-command at L’Osservatore Romano, is not so much about the show’s artistic merits as it is about the message that “Star Trek” conveyed to a world afflicted by so many tensions – a world much like the present day.
Showing no signs of slowing down, Star Trek plans to roll out its latest TV incarnation, entitled “Star Trek: Discovery”, this coming January on the CBS All Access streaming service. And for extra feels, it’s directed (and hosted) by Nimoy’s adult son Adam. The tweet also suggested that Star Trek franchise has recorded the voice of Majel and is working to incorporate her voice to Apple Siri.
Star Trek was well received with many viewers thanks to story lines that touched on important social issues.
“I think across the several decades of it that we have, there’s a basic morality play structure to ‘Star Trek, ‘” Young said.
It’s been 50 years since America first heard the words, “Space: the final frontier”.

When Dave Cooley, another fan since childhood, wears “Star Trek” merchandise or shows off his tattoo of the triangular Starfleet insignia, it’s also a signal to others that fandom is something to be celebrated.
