Star Wars fan art: Do you have the force?
The 64-year-old actor, who will reprise his role as Skywalker in the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens, pulled on the armoured disguise and strolled along Hollywood Blvd, stopping to chat along the way and take photos.
The 71-year-old director recently checked out a screening of the film and “really liked it”.
A pop-up Star Wars shop, Star Wars: The Force Awakens – The Toronto Exhibit, showcasing life-size replicas of characters from the new film is coming to Toronto this weekend.
According to Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, Lucas, who sold his company to Disney in 2012 and was not involved in the new Star Wars film, will attend the premieres this month in Los Angeles and London.
Lucas has expressed some ambivalence about the direction of the new films.
“I learned that on the day I was born, in 1982, they were filming scenes inside Jabba the Hut’s palace in ‘Return of the Jedi, ‘” Kuper said. I’m in a business where the only thing that matters is weight and appearance. It seems like the Force will always be strong with this Star Wars veteran.
“The last time anybody saw me in a stormtrooper outfit was when we rescued the princess off the Death Star.” says Hamill, “I couldn’t be more proud of everyone in the Star Wars family”.
The ever-outspoken Fisher went on to discuss returning to the role of Leia in the sequel, saying she never had any doubts about accepting the role again. “Literally everyone I know wants to see this movie, male or female”. I’d make myself miserable.
