‘Star Wars’ is ready to awaken as box office force
It’s caused nerds and civilians alike to bust out their copies of Star Wars tapes and DVDs, special editions or original recipe, and rewatch the six previous films to get jacked up for the seventh chapter in this galactic saga.
“The Force Awakens” arrives in America’s theaters December 18, several extraordinary things will happen.
When speaking about “Star Wars”, there are few topics that inspire a twinkle in Harrison Ford’s eyes. And like any cult, it has its rules, secret codes, rituals, passionate devotees and card-carrying nutjobs, all of which is reflected below. “But that is not what the “Star Wars” experience is all about”.
“If you make a huge investment in a product and it pays off, there’s wisdom in seeing whether the well has run dry”, Ford said. “They had this tactile, deeply emotional connection with these characters”. You get sand in any of these [costume hinges] and it makes a awful grinding sound.
Honestly, I could spend all day talking with J.J. Abrams, the co-writer and director of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Quirky fact: Stood on a box for many of her scenes with Harrison Ford in the original Star Wars trilogy because she was 30cm shorter than him. We’re even selling tickets for showings before work.
It seems clear that “The Force Awakens” intends to recapture the old magic while appealing to a new generation of moviegoers. Abrams, the highly-anticipated movie stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Max Von Sydow.
If you like this movie you’ll like these: Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, Star Trek Into Darkness. However, the spinoff Anthology film series offer more options for directors to become involved in the franchise. This was a film that most people were enormously excited for, but it let them down.
