“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” Achieves Biggest Opening of All Time even
Despite the victory of the resistance, the Galaxy is in turmoil again. Familiar artifacts and characters are dropped in carefully and precisely, while simultaneously not overshadowing the new characters and world Episode VII ushers in.
The hype for the seventh movie, which features a number of original cast members including Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, has been running red hot and first reactions of fans indicate that the film brings nostalgic memories back to life.
While there is no chance that Star Wars will see a decrease like that of Avatar (1.8 percent), it is highly likely that its decrease will be much smaller than that of the dinosaur sequel.
The ending scene of The Force Awakens shows Rey meeting up with Luke Skywalker for the first time. Harrison Ford reprises his role as Han Solo. He isn’t as lackadaisical as he was in Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull. “For an entire generation, they were the start of a lifelong affiliation and love”. If the Star Wars theme is not enough to give you goosebumps, what unfolds ahead surely will.
Boyega’s energy on the screen is infectious.
Some characters stick around, some are erased from the Star Wars timeline entirely. She’s a natural in terms of delivery, even in the action sequences.
Titled “Episode 7”, the best thing about The Force Awakens is how it works for people who are new to the franchise and only have cursory knowledge of the names of the main characters. She’s just so much fun. Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson and Andy Serkis play nefarious First Order characters Kylo Ren, General Hux and Supreme Leader Snoke. From a technical standpoint, The Force Awakens is superlative. He’s kept the CGI to a bare minimum for what he could for a movie of the grandeur of The Force Awakens. As a fan of the series, I would not be lying if I say I had moist eyes when the film’s opening titles rolled along with its magnificent theme.
There’s a new Death Star like planet killer base, which is fearsome, but it lacks the something intangible. Christmas, on a Friday this year, is traditionally one of the busiest movie going days.
It’s a busy time of year for moviegoing.
When the original Star Wars hit theatres in 1977, audiences were blown away. That said, it’s only fair to point out that A New Hope had its own fair share of throwaway references that would only be explained in later movies.
The upcoming movie slate for science-fiction films is absolutely stacked.
Star Wars Battlefront is now available on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Normally that would draw me out of a film, but if any franchise can pull it off, it’s Star Wars.
