Star Wars: The Force Awakens – First reviews following Hollywood premiere
Star Wars fans have been queuing up on a rainy Hollywood Boulevard for hours in anticipation of the world premiere of The Force Awakens in Los Angeles tonight.
The Empire and Rebels sieged four blocks in Hollywood on December 14 for the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” red carpet event.
Before the film’s human stars arrived, the droid BB-8 rolled by the cameras.
But for a lifelong “Star Wars” fan, it was tough being that close to the premiere and not getting a better look.
Daisy Ridley, who plays new star Rey, revealed that she was “Feeling quite sick, but now it’s kinda cool”.

Ford reflected on the impact of the film and the role that catapulted him to superstardom.
“Well, in the ’70s nobody knew what to anticipate”, said Ford.
The regular conversations between Abrams and Johnson makes sense given the amount of setup likely to be inherent in The Force Awakens, but Abrams will probably have less involvement by the time IX rolls around in 2019.
Adam B. Vary gave a glowing review, particularly praising the incoming cast: “Rest easy: The Force Awakens is 100 per cent Star Wars and something new, : he wrote”.
Livestream coverage of the arrivals of cast and filmmakers will begin at Starwars.com starting at 5:30 P.M. PT. The movie begins at 6:30 pm with a reception to follow. “I don’t think you can really fully appreciate it in this moment, I feel so lucky and blessed and I’m geeking out”. It’s a film about families and what one generation leaves behind another generation has to deal with.
Star Wars creator George Lucas was spotted laughing and chatting with director and co-writer JJ Abrams on the red carpet.
If you did not pre-order your ticket, it will likely be hard to watch the new Star Wars movie on premiere night.
Police dogs checked areas adjacent to the massive tent shrouding the red carpet, and pedestrians in the area had to go through metal detectors.
Some eager fans had started camping outside the Los Angeles cinema as far back as TWELVE DAYS AGO in a bid to see their sci fi heroes and grab an early screening ticket. He said security was extra tight because of the terror attacks in San Bernardino and Paris.
Recently, the Borders outlet at the Curve played host to the Star Wars Malaysia Fan Club (SWMFC)’s event, Voyage to the Awakening. I’ve never seen this kind of thing.
