‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Hits $300 Million Domestically in Record Time
Director JJ Abram’s “Star Wars – The Force Awakens”, which is one of the most anticipated movies of the year, will end the year on a big note.
With the space-frenzy brought about by the movie, rumors have also speculated of fans beating a man to death for spoiling “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” at theaters, as stated by the Inquisitr.
Although disappointing, it sounds as though Electronic Arts does eventually plan to cover the newer films (and possibly the dreaded prequel trilogy) in future Battlefront installments. Internationally, the seventh Star Wars has hit $422.4 million, bringing its global box office receipts to $813.5 million. When Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Stormtrooper “Finn” (John Boyega) are evading the First Order’s airstrikes, he holds her hand, while running, and she tells him that she’s doing just fine, that she can manage by herself.
Harrison Ford, who plays the role of Han Solo in the “Star Wars” franchise, recently said that he wanted his famous character, Han Solo, in the to “sacrifice himself”. In one of the movie’s trailers, the tiny alien handed Luke Skywalker’s (Mark Hamill) lightsaber to General Leia (Carrie Fisher). The film, however, does spring two genuine surprises here – deflating the audience’s expectations quite skillfully – but they are not enough to compensate for its flaws.
