‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ May Be Biggest Movie Of All Time

Fans of “Star Wars” finally get the moment they have all been waiting for on Thursday night when the latest installment of the sci-fi-classic hits theaters.

Thousands of fans lined up overnight Thursday for screenings at theaters across the country.

Deanne Clark of Event Cinemas said the film was expected to attract large crowds until well into the New Year.

“Star Wars has been one of the most important and best-selling franchises in our stores, not just in the USA but around the world”, Barry said.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is already Fandango’s best-ever selling movie. And tonight, there was even a Star Wars themed wedding.

Many fans had high praise for the movie upon leaving the theater and said there are several surprises that will please fans of all ages.

“I remember reading the theory that Finn is Mace Windu’s grandson”, Boyega says referring to Samuel L. Jackson’s Star Wars character in Revenge of the Sith.

Fandango also released some stats that show that 65 percent of 1,000 Star Wars fans stated in an issued survey that they intend to see the movie in theaters during the holidays.

“Thousands of people will see this film”, said Jennifer Bracciotti, Outlets at Sparks.

Fans braving the cold evening temperatures bundled up inside blankets and layers of Jedi robes.

“I’ve loved this movie franchise and most of the toys and merchandise that goes with it. I’m a 40 year old who owns a lightsaber”, said one man. “They might come for opening day and come again on Sunday”.
