Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Premieres in Los Angeles
It isn’t a galaxy far, far away, but Hollywood Boulevard will be the center of the “Star Wars” universe tonight when stars of the much-anticipated “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” walk the red carpet for the film’s premiere.
A giant opaque tent shrouded the red carpet – lined with the mannequins and neon lights that resembled giant lightsabers – and workers put the finishing touches on the setup hours before the film’s first showings to a select group of Hollywood elite.
Naturally, this was a huge deal, many very famous people were invited, and after the event we now know that several hundred people have seen “The Force Awakens”. “But obviously she’s a woman and that’s really really cool”, said Ridley. He “didn’t actually claim his son, but as soon as he claims his son, goes over to the good, takes off his mask and he is white – yes, I have many feelings about that”. This photo provided by Disney shows Daisey Ridley as Rey, left, and John Boyega as Finn, in a scene from the new film, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, directed by J.J. Abrams.
“There’s more security than at the Academy Awards”. “I guess because he’s the big one”, Outlaw said.
Oscar Isaac and Carrie Fisher caused havoc on the starwars.com livestream when they chose to interview each other. “I’ve been a fan all my life, it’s my favourite movie and my dad’s also”.
Comedian Patton Oswalt told The Associated Press that the film represented a return to what made him fall in love with “Star Wars” in the first place. There’s just something in this that touches people and I don’t think you can summarize that.
“I felt it was progressive as a female character, there was a liberation in the body being covered in practical armour and for the focus to be on the character rather than the way the physical form looked”. “Adam Driver kills it”. He said his action figures mean he already has Christmas presents sorted: “I’m set for this year and the next couple of years”. You just know there is some number that is being thrown out there that will not be hit.
Actor John Boyega participates in AOL’s BUILD Speaker Series to discuss the film, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, at AOL Studios on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, in NY.
