‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ trailer sparks questions, insane theories

Until then, let’s examine the two trailers. With last night’s release of the new trailer, however, it’s likely all anyone will be talking about for quite some time.

1 – Did Kylo best Luke? The characters include Luke Skywalker, Rey, and Finn. “I’ve seen this raw strength only once before”, he tells her, “.and it scared me enough then – it does now”.

Why we care: Until today, I never believed in love at first sight.

There’s also some BTS clips of Adam Driver fighting guys with sticks and this could mean Snoke disowning Kylo Ren and sicking his Praetorian guards on him.

2 – Does Kylo kill Leia? We know it’s in play, not least because Chewie is blowing up TIE Fighters, but is he piloting it alone?

I’m sorry, the old Kylo Ren can’t come into the light right now, oh why?

At this point, he is staring down his mother’s ship, ready to fire. Or could it be Finn (John Boyega)?

The trailer also features glimpses of several other characters and quick cuts that leave viewers with more questions than answers. Ron Howard was brought in to take over directing duties after Phil Lord and Chris Miller (who shot much of the film) were fired. The most we’ve gotten is Rian Johnson calling him “DJ”.

Before the trailer’s premiere, Disney released a new poster for the film. Did he lose or get captured?

The message of this trailer seems to be that we should expect Rey to make some poor decisions over the course of The Last Jedi.

In the hours after tickets went on sale, Star Wars fans flooded Fandango with complaints about long wait times and website glitches via the online ticket seller’s Twitter account.

And, possible spoiler alert, but the very last scene of the trailer has people Freaking. In a final “Oh no!” moment, Rey looks distraught as she says, “I need someone to show me my place in all this”.

It certainly leads nicely into the more shocking of the potential revelations in the trailer, which seemingly shows Rey considering joining the Dark Side.
