In the lead-up to the next trailer launch, Lucasfilm has also released the Star Wars: The Force Awakens poster worldwide. Disney, which owns ABC & ESPN, will air a new trailer for the movie during the Monday Night Football broadcast. Guests will see each of the six previously released Star Wars episodes in digital 2D beginning with The Phantom Menace and concluding with the opening of Star Wars: “The Force Awakens in 3D!”
In a one of its kind event for a Hollywood film in India, Disney conducted the Star Wars Lightsaber challenge in Mumbai with fans of the franchise. Be prepared to take the 17th off, as a marathon of the other six films will take most of the day, and it will likely then culminate in the new movie screening around midnight.
As you might expect, the design, which is in the familiar Star Wars montage style, features numerous main characters, old and new, from the movie, which was partly filmed in Abu Dhabi.
Theatres in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Edmonton, Calgary and Kanata, Ont., are among those participating. Odeon has started the Star Wars ticket sale this morning in the UK.
