Star Wars VR experience coming in December

The search engine giant debuted a new Star Wars website that let fans choose whether to align themselves with the dark side or the light side of the Force. Download the iOS or Android Star Wars app to watch The Force Awakens VR experience.
“‘Awaken the Force Within’ is a global creative and technology collaboration between Google and Disney in celebration of the upcoming film set to open in theaters on December 18th”, says a press statement by Google. Users will also be able to choose which icons and themes their Google services are decked in-the light side of the Force and Republic colors, or the dark side of the Force and Imperial colors.
Changes to YouTube, Gmail, Maps, Search, and Android Wear will be flocked with Star Wars details.
While it’s likely Star Wars: The Force Awakens lead John Boyega has had ample opportunity to see the highly anticipated movie, the actor told ET he’s counting down just like the rest of us.
Lucas added that “they weren’t that keen to have me involved anyway”.
There will also be four Google Cardboard viewer designs featuring popular Star Wars images that will become available exclusively through Verizon’s United States stores from December 2nd – Boo, no Australia – but the experiences will work on your standard Cardboard headset. The Star Wars Special will re-air in primetime on Wednesday, November 25, at 10pm ET on ABC.
