Starbucks Releases Toasted Graham Latte, First New Fall Flavor in Four Years
Starbucks has rolled out the toasted graham latte as its newest fall flavor. “What I found to be quite popular in the United States is the taste of cereal milk, the delicious leftovers in your breakfast bowl”.
Intrigued, Wong soaked a couple graham crackers in milk to replicate the taste and, voilà, the idea for Starbucks’s new latte was sparked.
The latte isn’t the only new item that Starbucks will debut today – to celebrate the start of fall, cups with colorful illustrations of leaves and pinecones are also rolling out nationwide.
The PSL has been Starbucks’ fall go-to for the past 10 years, but starting today, the coffee chain is switching things up.
Starbucks first tested the order and pay ahead system in the Portland previous year and later expanded it to 3,400 of its company-owned locations. The resulting brew is warm and screams autumn without the cloying sweetness of the pumpkin spice latte, so the flavor of the coffee still shines through.
The drink consists of espresso, steamed milk, toasted graham cracker syrup and it’s topped with cinnamon graham crumble.
A 12-ounce Toasted Graham Latte with 2% milk has 230 calories, 7 grams of fat and 31 grams of sugar, according to the company’s website. That only gives you one month to try to cozy new flavor!
