StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void Opening Cinematic and November 10 Release
Even weirder: XCOM 2 just abandoned that November 10 date a few weeks ago and delayed its release until February-whether because of StarCraft II rumblings or Fallout 4 or some combination of the two, I’m not sure. “It also brings tremendous enhancements to StarCraft II’s definitive real-time strategy gameplay, with new units, automated tournaments, collaborative game modes, and more”. The Standard Edition is priced at $40, with the Digital Deluxe Edition ($60), including extra in-game content, but for Blizzard‘s other games; there’s an Archon pet for World of Warcraft, a Void Speeder mount for Heroes of the Storm, and a protoss card back for Hearthstone.
Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void is a standalone expansion focusing on the Protoss race and the character Artanis; in a plot that has been likened to the plot of the film 300.
The game will see its epic conclusion with Legacy of the Void wherein Hierarch Artanis led by Protoss Golden Armada will be trying to reclaim their home world of Aiur and in the process face the dreaded Hybrid. Today we finally heard a release date for the long-awaited Protoss campaign and of all the remaining Tuesdays in 2015 Blizzard picked November 10. The Collector’s Edition will be available at select retailers for a suggested retail price of £59.99. Players will join forces to battle through a series of challenging scenarios together, leveling up their commanders’ capabilities as they progress. In it, players will be able to control key figures from the Starcraft II universe. Heart of the Swarm, the first expansion that launched in 2013, focused on the Zerg, while the original game, StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty, began with the Terrans.
