Started going to gym after watching a few of my films: Amitabh Bachchan
Amitabh Bachchan who famously played a chef in “Cheeni Kum”, said he is a “bad eater” whose eating habits are very dissimilar to people who follow a diet.
However, on Wednesday evening during the book launch, he said he does not follow any particular routine as far as food habits are concerned and called himself a “bad eater”.
“I am a bad eater”.
Actress-entrepreneur, Shilpa Shetty, who’s always been known for her body, health and fitness, finally launched her book, The Great Indian Diet (co-authored by globally famous nutritionist Luke Coutinho) in the presence of Bollywood bigwigs like Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and Varun Dhawan among others.
“But having seen some of my visuals in some of my films about 5-6 years ago, I realised that I needed to be in shape and started going to the gym on some kind of a regular basis”, he added.
“Launched Shilpa Shetty’s book on diet. with luminaries that need no introduction.!!”, posted the actor on Twitter along with a picture from the event.
“This has been a dream…” Unfortunately, we are not able to shift focus from weight loss to gaining health and that is what we want to achieve by releasing this book. He also said that he was the wrong person to launch Shilpa Shetty’s book on diet because of his wayward eating habits.
“Of course, I’m ageing”. I am very emotional… “So, basically, both me and Shilpa have tried to keep it simple and unadulterated in terms of how an Indian body type will respond better to food grown here, which also marks the very essence of our well-being”.
Varun Dhawan spoke about his father David Dhawan’s weight issues on the occasion. “At least for a child it’s an emotional thing when your parents grow old, you want them to stay longer with you and healthier”, he said.
