Startling allegations emerge in rape investigation into USC linebacker, report reveals
A DNA sample was also obtained from Masina. TMZ reports that a search warrant in Los Angeles for Masina’s phone has the victim of both assaults telling police that Masina and another USC football player Don Hill drugged her and raped her on July 14.
Masina reportedly assaulted the woman again on July 26 in Utah.
We spoke with USC which confirmed, “Don Hill was sent back home today for a violation of team rules”.
Masina was accused of giving a woman Xanax, alcohol and marijuana, and then allegedly raping her inside Hill’s apartment while videotaping, according to the court documents obtained by ESPN.
The alleged victim also said Hill participated in the encounter. However, she remembers smoking weed.
The woman claims she remembers Masina “holding her head and putting her mouth on his penis” while Hill had vaginal sex with her.
The woman claims she passed out and awoke to see him on top of her, engaging in anal sex with her. She woke up to Masina anally raping her and forcing her to perform oral sex.
After waking up the next day in pain, the woman went to police and a rape kit was administered. Helton’s explanation for that is the university, not the football program, that’s handling the player’s discipline.
An incident is alleged to have occurred in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, in late July.
At this point, no charges have been filed against either Masina or Hill. Masina is being investigated in both Utah and California.
Helton left open the possibility that Masina’s suspension could extend past Saturday’s game against Alabama.
The former five-star recruit had worked with the first-team defense at times in training camp, before Michael Hutchings won the starting job at one of two inside linebacker spots.
