State Department says as many as 305 Clinton emails could raise intelligence
In a radio interview conducted over the weekend, she claimed that if it wasn’t for her, the emails never would have been made public.
Asked about the additional emails being reviewed by intelligence agencies, State Department John Kirby told a media briefing on Monday: “It’s a healthy thing”. The official would not be quoted by name because he was not authorized to speak on the record.
So far, in the ongoing examination of the Democratic presidential candidate’s emails, only 20% of the 30,000 messages turned over to the federal government have been examined.
So far the intelligence community has concluded at least two emails contained Top-Secret information, some of it from so-called “signals intelligence” – among the most sensitive intelligence there is. It should come as no surprise to anyone with a brain that the work-related emails of the secretary of state would contain sensitive information.
While technical details about the hardware Clinton used are unknown, Siciliano said setting up a typical private server can cost anywhere from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars, making it a worthwhile expense for privacy-minded individuals. Separate from the FOIA litigation, the FBI is intensifying its investigation into the into the handling of classified information on Clinton’s private email server. Clinton has asserted her server was secure and never hacked. Sanders is leading Clinton in New Hampshire, according to a recent survey. The former secretary of state told a crowd of Iowa Democrats that the investigation was “not about emails or servers either – it’s about politics”.

Clinton’s attorney is turning over three thumb drives of the emails to the Department of Justice for reasons that he is not cleared to handle the information or store it in his office.
“The transmission of classified material to an individual unauthorized to possess it is a serious national security risk”, wrote Grassley, R-Iowa, in a letter dated Friday. The agency insists that the information was not classified at the time it was sent and stored on Clinton’s server. That brought new questions about whether any classified information was mishandled.
“I’m not prepared to close that door yet”, he said, when asked about his third-party threat.
“General Petraeus, his life has been destroyed”.
Officials are trying to head off a request by the plaintiffs, who sued to get a look at Mrs. Clinton’s emails and who want the court to impose new oversight to make sure the State Department is working quickly and fairly.
