Statement on Sprint offering LG G5
Plan S provides 3GB data for $30, M 6GB for $45, L 12GB for $60, while XL delivers 24GB for $80. But while price points of the two plan structures are very similar, Sprint called attention to the fact that its plans offer more monthly data. If you go over your chosen high-speed data allotment, Sprint will throttle your data down to 2G speeds. A “small” plan of $30 buys 1 GB on Verizon but 3 GB on Sprint, for instance, while the XXL plan at $100 a month gets 18 GB on Verizon and 40 GB on Sprint.
For the second straight six-month period, Verizon stands alone as the best network for overall performance in Alabama.
Additionally, Sprint is also still offering an unlimited data option, which ranges in price based on how many lines are connected. Customers who want to continue with the high-speed will have to pay $15 for each additional GB consumed.
This morning, Sprint announced a new line of plans called Better Choice that they are pushing as being a better value than Verizon’s “The Verizon Plan”.
To make sure that it properly entices customers with its new data plans, Sprint is still offering to cover $650 in switching costs if new customers decide to leave their carrier and jump on board its network. According to the carrier’s press release, “Beginning Friday, Feb. 12, for a limited time, families can get four lines of talk, text and unlimited data for $37.50 per line, saving them $360 a year”. Customers need only choose the amount of sharable data and the number of lines needed for their family.
