Stealth-action game République coming to Playstation 4
Publisher Gungho Entertainment announced today that the dystopian stealth game, Republique, is heading over to the PS4 in early 2016, including a list of several changes for the port of the game.
The game tasks players with assisting a young woman named Hope escape from a totalitarian state. However, the PS4 version of the game will be featuring the complete 5 episodes and will be available in the Playstation Store by the time of its launch. You help to guide her around from the perspective of surveillance cameras, interacting with the environment in various ways to keep her out of danger.
If you’ve played République, it’s mostly a point and click game so if the press release is any indication, Camouflaj may be expanding the game into a fully controllable stealth experience.
Republique is developed by Camouflaj, a studio headed up by Metal Gear Solid 4 producer Ryan Payton.
Three of five episodes have been released so far, on Android, iOS Mac and PC, but it looks like the last two will be upon us before the shine has worn off the new year, because the whole package will release on PS4 in “early 2016”. “I can’t thank GungHo enough for supporting our efforts to faithfully translate République into a true console experience”. In terms of pricing, Steam has all five episodes for a set total of $25, and we should probably expect a similar cost for its PS4 version.
