That date applies to the Americas, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. SteamWorld Dig had a similar launch, with the game building enough momentum to receive ports on other consoles.

The sequel to the much-lauded, steam-powered robot game, Steamworld Dig, will be releasing next week for 3DS on December 10. “SteamWorld Heist” can be a great deal for game enthusiasts who prefer playing strategy games. It has over 20-25 hours of gameplay, hundreds of weapons to learn and master, and almost infinite replay value thanks to the random generation of the levels. For 3DS users that love their themes, there will be an exclusive Nintendo 3DS Home Menu theme that comes with every purchase from December 10 to the 31.

I’m a huge fan of Image & Form’s wonderful indie darling SteamWorld Dig, and I absolutely can’t wait for the strategy spin-off/sequel SteamWorld Heist.
