Steelers can beat anyone with Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown

The Pittsburgh Steelers offense seems unstoppable right now.

The win for the Jets puts them half a game ahead of both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Kansas City Chiefs who remain on 8-5 coming into Sunday’s games.

Roethlisberger, Brown, and Bryant are going to have their work cut out for them this week against a strong Broncos’ secondary that has been the top defense against the pass. The Broncos have allowed just 188 yards per game.

The Steelers struck within a touchdown of the Broncos when oethlisberger threw a flawless pass to Antonio Brown along the right sideline of the end zone for a 9-yard touchdown with 7:16 left in the quarter.

Denver defense vs. Pittsburgh offense: The Steelers are No. 2 in total offense, the Broncos are first in total defense, yards per play and points allowed.

On Denver’s second play from scrimmage, Will Allen stripped RB Ronnie Hillman and fellow safety Mike Mitchell recovered the fumble.

“They have a great combination of rush and coverage”, Tomlin said. He will have to get the ball off quick before the Broncos pass rushers can get to him. If Villanueva and the Steelers’ offensive line can keep Ben Roethlisberger upright, the killer B’s should be able to make some plays underneath against this stout group. In their recent games they have had a close matchup against the New Orlean Saints and a win over the Dallas Cowboys that was closer than the final score dictated. They’re No. 1 in just about every category: yards, points, passing.

The Broncos (10-3) trail New England by one game for the best record in the AFC and home-field advantage in the playoffs. Khalil Mack or the Raiders steamrolled the line to rack up five sacks, all in the second half.

“They do everything”, Roethlisberger said.

Because the game is in Pittsburgh and the Steelers are playing with a lot of momentum, they’ll get the nod to make one or two more plays than Denver does in this game.

The Steelers have done a good job of that with Roethlisberger, who has been sacked just 14 times in 344 pass attempts. They are fundamentally sound.

With Peyton Manning returning to practice this week and Brock Osweiler’s play – while not bad, per se – trending in the wrong direction, Kubiak heads into big games this week and next with a quarterback quandary hanging over his head.

“I don’t know if that’s coaching”, Butler said. Everything is closed off and you look out that window and you see other guys practicing and you want to get out there and help the team. They try to bat balls down. He is in there fast.

The Bengals clinch the division with a win and a Steelers loss or tie on Sunday. They’ve been dominant in their current two-game winning streak, beating the Colts and Bengals by 48 total points.

As good as the Steelers’ second-ranked offense has been the past five weeks, it’s being severely tested by Denver’s top-ranked defense. The task will not be easy as the Broncos travel to Pittsburgh to face the Pittsburgh Steelers, winners of four out of their last five games.
