Steelers’ injuries mount as Roethlisberger confirms torn shoulder ligaments
ESPN’s Bob Hotlzman reports that his “sources” say that Roethlisberger is likely to play on Sunday after suffering a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder but Brown is “not looking good” as he sustained a concussion in Saturday night’s 18-16 win over the Bengals. Steelers coach Mike Munchak yanked on Bengals safety Reggie Nelson’s arm and hair when Nelson ran into him on the sideline, for example. But there was also more chatter about retaliation for Wallace hit on Bruton that drew a flag for unnecessary roughness.
“He deserved a Grammy Award for that”, Jones said.
“It didn’t hurt when I reached back to throw”, Roethlisberger said of that drive. Burfict ended the season of Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell, but was not penalized for the sideline tackle that tore Bell’s MCL.
If even one of those two can’t go for Pitt, the face of the game changes dramatically.
“Once they go across that line (onto the field), there’s not much I can do from there unless I go out on the field, which I’m not allowed to”, Lewis said. “But you know and I know that when Saturday gets here, all that will go out the window….”

The teams have a history of animosity that boiled out during the Steelers’ 33-20 win at Paul Brown Stadium on December 13.
“To me, Joey Porter just doesn’t have a lot of class”, Whitworth said.
“We’ve hit the hammer on the nail already”, defensive tackle Domata Peko said. In a game that surpassed chippy and got risky because of heavy hitting from both teams, misconduct is not entirely unexpected.
His arm throbbing and his ability to get the ball down the field with any sort of velocity nonexistent, Roethlisberger – with more than a little help from the Bengals – managed to lead the Steelers on a drive that set up Chris Boswell’s winning field goal.
“They said I made contact with the ref”, Jones said on “The Dan Patrick Show”.
