Steelers promote dual threat Tyler Murphy to active roster

Today, the Chiefs (1-5) meet the Steelers (4-2), and its opposing quarterback Landry Jones that presents a potential advantage for Kansas City.

Landry Jones is having a hard time digesting it all. Heavy run attack, short, one-read passing plays, bubble screens, etc. Offensive coordinator Todd Haley is a crafty offensive mind, like him or not.

Perhaps. The Chiefs have their backs against the wall and this is the NFL. “It’s a great opportunity for him from a practice standpoint”. I’m not one who thinks Josh McCown is any kind of viable long-term solution at the QB position and this offense is due to regress.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been trying their best to survive the National Football League regular season without their fearless leader Ben Roethlisberger.

The Chiefs defense has been a disappointment this year, outside of Marcus Peters. Coach Andy Reid has been working with the team’s offensive unit so they can continue to adjust to life without Jamaal Charles. But it’s clear that this defense has not risen to the occasion at all. He was 8 of 12 for 168 yards and two TDs against Arizona. The Chiefs last beat Pittsburgh on November 27, 2011….

Now, it looks as if he will make his first start this week. But it won’t come at the expense of getting Jones ready for his first career start. Maybe it was a fluke, or poor game-planning on the Cardinals’ side, or a combination of a lot of things. Bell should keep rolling through Kansas City defense.

Bryant caught a pass in the fourth quarter and rumbled 88 yards for a score to put the game out of reach for the Cards.

Now, with Bryant in the mix, Brown could finally return to his usual self, especially with Jones being a better thrower than Vick.
