Steelers rally past Osweiler, Broncos 34-27
This one came after the Broncos piled up a 27-10 lead late in the first half, the defense making Brock Osweiler look like the Denver Ghost of Christmas Past, one John Elway.
The win for the Jets puts them half a game ahead of both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Kansas City Chiefs who remain on 8-5 coming into Sunday’s games.
Denver Broncos free safety Darian Stewart is inactive for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ben Roethlisberger passed for 380 yards and three touchdowns as the Steelers rallied for a 34-27 win over the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
What should be a fantastic afternoon football game features the Denver Broncos vs Pittsburgh Steelers on CBS Sports live TV and live streaming. Roethlisberger relentlessly targeted Antonio Brown against the Broncos’ elite cornerbacks, finding his No. 1 receiver 16 times for 189 yards and two touchdowns.
The Broncos found themselves in a similar situation against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14 as they were driving and in need of a big play, only to be let down by Davis again.
The problem is that Osweiler bombed in the second half, as he threw for just 69 yards, and the Broncos were shut out in the second half for the third straight game.
While the Steelers get ready to head out on the field we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. The Broncos had the best pass defense in the NFL. Osweiler stumbled his 6-foot-7 frame across the goal line to make it 20-7 and when Thomas stiff-armed Pittsburgh’s Antwon Blake to finish off a 6-yard touchdown, the Broncos were up 27-10. Osweiller was rolling along until last week’s unexpected 15-12 loss at home to the Raiders, a game in which he showed his inexperience and the Broncos paid the price. He had a 200-yard game recently against the Seahawks, a game the Steelers felt they should have won, and he is starting to contribute more and more.
Yet just as quickly a Denver’s momentum appeared, it vanished. Brown has 64 catches for 868 yards in that same span.
