Steph Curry to Pound the Keep Pounding Drum for Carolina Panthers
“But be yourself. The same Cam, the same Panthers that got you to that point and, uh, get it done”, Curry stated via Bleacher Report before the Super Bowl game.
As a high profile fan of the Carolina Panthers, Curry has never been shy about supporting his favorite American football team.
He’ll even be wearing a custom-made jersey with his name and No. 30 on the back, which was hanging in a special locker in a picture that the Panthers tweeted Sunday afternoon.
Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant was also at the Levi’s Stadium field as a photographer, taking pictures of the big game for The Players’ Tribune website.
After the award was presented, Curry sent a congratulatory message to his friend. He happened to be on hand when they lost to the Denver Broncos 24-10 on Sunday in Super Bowl 50 at Santa Clara, Calif.
Curry is no stranger to being ridiculed via social media, but as he’s proven, it’s important to understand that if you ain’t got haters, you ain’t poppin’. He was also the team’s “Keep Pounding” drummer for their September 20 home win over the Texans.
The “Keep Pounding” drum is a symbol for the speech given by former Panthers’ linebacker and coach Sam Mills. “I’m a fighter. I kept pounding”.
