Stephen A. Smith warns Kevin Durant about turning ESPN personality into ‘an
Durant refuting the rumors is to be expected but personally attacking one of the most respected journalists to cover the league over the last two decades is taking it too far. So he’s lying… I have people who I talk to about everything and I know for a fact they didn’t talk to him, so he’s making up stories. Folks like Maine will still be here.
After seeing Kevin Durant shoot down his report and call him a liar, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith responded to the Oklahoma City Thunder superstar on First Take on Monday morning. Time to get use to it. Until today, when Stephen A. went COMPLETELY over the edge with his comments today on his show, First Take.
“Not to say he is not considering D.C., Miami, New York, whatever, that’s what I heard”.
“I said if OKC, if Kevin decides to leave OKC, I’m hearing that LA is a prime spot that he is considering. Do you really wanna see me in an National Basketball Association arena?” Smith had reported that the Los Angeles Lakers would be Durant’s “primary objective” in free agency if he doesn’t re-sign with the Thunder, and Durant disputed the report. You are being represented by Rocnation. “Are you trying to tell me you’re not going to consider the second-largest market in the United States of America?”
After defending himself for 10 minutes or so, Smith turned his head and stared right into the camera. But I will say this lastly, you don’t want to make an enemy out of me. But I think it’s important to document what freaking weirdo this guy is.
The First Take co-host ended the rant by saying, “You don’t want to make an enemy out of me”.
And I’m looking right into the camera. “I’m not having it”.
