Stephen A. Smith won’t stop ranting about Kevin Durant’s comments
Smith on Monday had quite possibly his most insufferable rant to date, and anyone who is familiar with the ESPN reporter can tell you he has had a few disgusting ones. “So he’s lying. He’s making up stories”. Folks like Maine will still be here. While he’s here and long after he’s gone.
Seems like a pretty appropriate response at first, but Stephen A. Smith then went on a almost 20-minute rant of epic proportions. I said nothing offensive about him, I will not say anything offensive about him. Not to say he’s not considering D.C., Miami, New York or whatever … that’s what I heard. “No. 2: If I’m so wrong, why haven’t you not signed an extension with the Oklahoma City Thunder to stay for years and years to come?” Smith took umbrage with Durant’s claims, and lambasted the former MVP. You are being represented by Rocnation.
“I said if OKC, if Kevin decides to leave OKC, I’m hearing that LA is a prime spot that he is considering. Are you trying to tell me you’re not going to consider the second-largest market in the United States of America?”
“One day, I was reminiscing and I felt that being outdoors molded me into the person I am, the player I am and I wanted everyone feel the same thing I did”, Durant said.
Smith took to Twitter to defend his comments and say he would further clarify things on his own radio show. “I just want people to think about that”.
Near the end of the discussion, Smith looked directly in the camera with a message for Durant: “You don’t want to make an enemy out of me”. You do not want to make an enemy out of me. I’m not having it. I’ve done nothing wrong.
